If it was in my shop I would first test to see if the soundpost is too tight. that is my first suspicion. A wolf on Dflat is suggesting that the bass tight and not resonating like it should. How does the A string sound played open?
This is likely the case. Your bass is settling in now, it started its life in China, shipped over in the white and probably varnished and setup in Maryland. Now you're in Vegas with a much much dryer climate, I'd check that soundpost immediately. They do tend to get really tight in there after settling in those Eastman basses. New wood woes..
