Dead Pickups?

So I just finished wiring my new project. Everything seems to work, just at a super low volume. I have a dimarzio p/j p-up set with 2 volumes, 1 tone and a three way selector.
I've double checked (and Triple checked) the wiring, but I can't find anything wrong. both pickups seem equally quiet. weird.
They did sit around for a year or so, could I have de-magnetized them? Any insight?
Thanks

ok, after playing around some more, it seems that with 3-way switch in the middle position, I'm only getting the bridge J pickup, not both.
Either way, both pickups are super quiet, and I can't find anything wrong.
Any help would be great.
Here's a pic.

Ok, turns out that one (or both) of the lugs from the output jack were grounding out on the body. The pickups have decent output now.
The only weird thing remaining goes like this:
with the three-way switch in middle position (both pickups on), if one volume knob is turned all the way down, there is no sound from either pickup. But, the minute you bring say, the bridge volume up to 1, then both volume knobs work as normal.

Anyone have any ideas?
