I was kidding. I recently bought an EPI Embassy Pro and have too many basses already. I came close to buying one though. There's a posted revision of the price for the bass which is more realistic for a prototype bass. It's still listed as "Out of Stock" so did the seller (third party through Walmart)) have to sell the basses they had on hand for $129??????

They never sold the USA models at Walmart. They only made 25 per year USA models.
They only sold the Asian models (Entwistle Hybrid Bass), which would have been the equivalent of a Squier by Fender type of build, at Walmart. They also made an asian Spider bass in black.
Basically a total of 4. USA Spider and Hybrid. Asian Spider and Hybrid.

I only has to do with the incompetence of Walmart
This is the proper way to demo a John Entwistle bass. The target customer isn't so interested in the stuff the guy playing the US Spyder in the clip up above is doing.

I'm looking for a Dean Entwistle Spider (import). If anyone has one they no longer want, I'd love to chat. This bass will probably only be used at home &/or hung on a wall, so NOT looking for the USA version.

Yes they are! I saw a Hybrid on there (and here too, I think) a month or 2 back and didn't pull the trigger. Suspcted I would regret that decision, but I really want the Spider for the looks. The Hybrid does a good job of getting that Entwistle tone, but since this will be mostly for show and some at home "fiddling about" (hehe), I'm trying to hold out for a Spider.

My buddy (Steve Luongo) was involved with getting this authorized by John Entwistle's son (Chris Entwistle) and getting Dean to manufacture them. He can't even get me one!
