There is probably some legal entity managing his "estate" which includes such intangibles as his "legacy", which can sell his memory in whatever way they deem appropriate. See also: Jaco Pastorius (IMO).

Being from Dean, I would assume it'd be an Explorer body.
Within the last two years, every single Dean bass I have played right out of the factory is set up to perfection. I am blown away with their QC. Even on their cheap models, I have played some that play smoother than my Rickenbacker. It is very cool!
