Dean John Entwistle bass

Would love to see the details of this supposed court battle. The estate gave Warwick the rights to produce the buzzard six years ago for 5 years. The Estate decided not to continue that. I think you will find he does not have the rights to it anymore. If that is incorrect then the estate solicitors have never mentioned that to me.

Chris

i am glad to hear that the internet rumors i heard/read were wrong ;)

its a shame that rob took it so hard, i would love to sell a kidney to buy a B1 :D sometime in the future maybe.

I'd like to see a non reverse one like this ...

Or a black with the white pickguard

Or one with a pointy headstock like this ...

I'd have to imagine the pointy headstock was a copyright issue.

do you mean on the alembic as in a sharper point than a flying V or do you mean the dean having the split head?

just John had at least one alembic with that headstock shape (see too late the hero cover), but it was not seen that often in video recorded stuff.

just a quick one for abngourmet, i know those inlays are special :) but which do you really prefer the alembic 'note' ones or the status numerals? both are sick inlays and obviously the alembics have some MAD work in making them.

to me when i am on stage i dont look at the board conciously so the inlays are just for flash and side LED are my "wahhh where am i" life jackets, and in that part to me the status has the points as big roman numerals are hard to miss, and those note ones you will need to be pretty close to see.

As I don't own a Status I can't say whether the note inlays or the numeral inlays are better or worse. I can say, having played it on a stage that the note inlays work for me. More importantly, the LEDs are worth their weight in gold.

Well, I am happy to own both the B1 and B2. The B1 is the ultimate beast.
The Alembics, the limited Spyders, the Dragon Wing and the custom Feline Spyder are all gorgeous but nothing beats the B1.
