Hey guys now that summer is over I'm out of a job but have lots a money saved up and hoping to buy a new bass. I don't want to spend it all on one bass so id say my budget would be around $600. This is where you guys come in.
Ive been playing for 3 1/2 years. I started off practicing on my friends $1600 Stingray, who later actually taught me how to play it, so I had lots of time to experiment with different things on his stingray. For 2 years now I've been playing my Schecter Stiletto Extreme-4. Yes not as good as the Stingray but good enough for me due to my small budget and though i deeply love it I feel its time to upgrade to a 5 string preferably a Schecter but I'm open minded to other brands. I play lots of genres except funk *because I just suck at it. Playing style i use my fingers mostly over a pick and i never slap *because i just suck at it. So I'm here to ask for your advice on what I should get note im looking for an active 5 string.
Please no "try before you buy" or "save up for an x bass" posts. Just post what you think i should get ill do my own research. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Mike
P.s. I will edit the thread if I'm not specific enough
