Decomposing Mono Vertigo Bag

Good day! 5 years ago I purchased a Mono Vertigo bag and to this day, it’s been a great bag for protecting my basses to and from gigs. I’ve always brought instruments inside overnight and have not flown the bag. I carry, load and unload my instruments in their cases.

I noticed recently my Vertigo bag’s trim piping on the front of the bag has cracked enough to make me concerned about water or moisture getting inside to my instrument. I contacted Mono and they told me this was normal wear and tear for their bags. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Yup, mine barely has any of that left on it..also has tape in areas where the fabric has ripped. Ive prolly done almost 2k shows with this bag though, so Id say Im happy with how its held up
