I always wondered how Rick Savage got that keyboard-like bass sound, and how to get it- then I realised it pretty much was a keyboard
in live footage on Visualize he plays the verse of "love bites" on a keyboard.

a similar thing was when my brother got me into listening to the Stranglers- I asked him whether it was a drum machine on "Skin deep"- he said "no- it just sounds like that because that drummer (Jet Black)'s got very tight timing"
-fast forward to when I got Hugh Cornwell's Song by song book-
yep, it was a drum machine
same story with the bass sound on "golden brown"- it's a keyboard.

Def Leppard was the reason i started playing bass. i am still looking for a Hamer Scarab in white.

i liked everything up til Adrenalize. They were my favorite band of the time. i still think Hysteria is one of the best albums ever, but then i am a closet hair band fanatic also.

Those Scarabs were cool Basses. I am not the kinda guy who
buys anything on e-bay,but If I walked into one of the local used Guitar stores and saw one for sale I would buy it,if it was in really good shape and and a OHSC.
