Demoing All of My Basses

I had some free time this afternoon, so I set up my iPhone and took a video of my playing a rough facsimile of Groove is in the Heart on all four (that's right, FOUR!) of my basses hahaha. The room is by no means acoustically great, and neither is my playing, but I figured some folks here might enjoy it all the same.

Thanks, it was $199 off Amazon. I got a $40 refund because the pickups are wired to the reverse pots & switches. I'd say well worth the $160!

Thanks! The phone mic doesn't quite do it justice, but it is thunderous. Considerably louder than the other 3, it had the room rattling a bit haha.

Great no fuss, no nonsense demo, well done. You gave us all the basic tone options of all 4 basses and pickup combinations, in less time than many home demo's spend on mumbling on about the one instrument, they then slap like crazy for half a minute....

They all sound pretty good in their own ways too, you've got a lot of bases covered with those 4 basses....

I expected five minutes of slap and almost didn't open it. It comes across well considering the recording setup. Do I hear the snare rattling occasionally?

No slapping here! All I would do is embarrass myself if I tried hahaha.
The snares were all taken into a different room for that very reason. That rattling is the closet doors, seen to the right of me in the video. They're those accordion style folding doors, and they rattle in their tracks. With the telebass, the window panes also started rattling, so it's a bit louder in that one.

It's odd, because they also sound sort of similar, but I've been GAS free with these four basses for over a year now.
