DemonFX Pedals - Any good?

Regarding Aliexpress - I’ve bought so much stuff from them at this point I would have no reservations personally. YMMV but that’s my experience. Last Black Friday I bought a Call76 and Alpha Omicron from them with no issues and a bangin’ deal.
Good to know that. I got my scratch plate ahead of the scheduled date, so I can't complain about that. I've just heard some rather ugly stories from fellow musicians here in the UK, but I can't honestly fault them based on my one and only experience. The unit I got was from a local UK company, so stoked with that.

Hello!

I´ve come across this brand of pedals, DemonFX ( DemonFX Pedals,Demon Effect pedal ,FANMUZK pedal p ). Has anyone tried one of these.

There are two that caught my attention:

TUBE SCREAMER II
DemonFX Pedals,Demon Effect pedal ,FANMUZK pedal p

19.8US $ 50% OFF|Demonfx TS9 and TS808 Upgraded version V2.0 RedTube Screamer II V2.0 Overdrive Pro Vintage Electric Guitar Effect Pedal| | - AliExpress

Couldn´t find videos online with bass. On guitar it seems really good but I suspect the low end on these would be sucked out.

MICROTUBES D7K ULTRA
DemonFX Pedals,Demon Effect pedal ,FANMUZK pedal p

97.76US $ 48% OFF|High quality Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 Bass Preamp Pedal DemonFX| | - AliExpress

a video:

I feel tempted to try the DK7. If anyone has tried this or other pedals from them, please let me know!

I live in SE Asia now. I see these pedals on every board here. I’ve gotten to try most of them and there is literally no difference in sound. Quality also very good. You may have a bit of a difference with respect to the individual knob controls like every other pedal so settings may need to be tweaked a bit but you can get all the original tones of all the DG, Aguilar and Walrus pedals at a fraction of the price. Same PCB in most cases as in the originals if anything is really original anymore. I also just tried the new Demonfx Bass Station which is an identical clone of the Bass Simplifier. Don’t waste your money on the original. The clone is spot on.

They're counterfeit garbage.

They have to cut costs drastically to hit those price points.
That’s mostly covered by the fact that they aren’t developing the pedal: they’re copying it with cheap labor. The materials are almost certainly cheaper as well, but that doesn’t inherently mean it’s “junk”.

I think most people appreciate the Joyo Character Series knockoffs and wouldn’t consider them “junk”. There’s no indication that the DemonFX pedals are of any lower quality than those.

So my Tone Mallet is not a Tone Hammer. Don't get me wrong, it's a great pedal, and for £60 delivered to my door, it's fantastic... but it is what it is.
And while I genuinely respect everyone's opinion on clones, and copies, and blatant rip-offs, at the end of the day, money vs needs vs the reality of tonal quality means different things for differnt people. As has been said before, there have been MANY comapnies that have "borrowed" and made their own stamp after getting entrenched in the market. Anyone who's ever played an Ibanez bass might be interested to note their heritage was based in "ripping off" Fender, Gibson and others. And now look at them!

Anyway... coffee beckons.

Just took delivery of a Demonfx mini chorus. A clone of the Analogman.

I gotta say it's pretty great. Even the mix knob works like the analogman where it's never really all dry, but the chorus mixes in from 25-75%. Real MN3007 chip socketed. $53 bucks shipped.

I like the depth switch at bottom the best, but it sounds great flipped up too. Middle position is kind of weak for bass.

I'll never understand paying Analogman prices for a mini chorus when these are all readily available.
