Describe that "Tone in Your Head."

Fresh, brand new nickel strings that sound like they're falling of the bass and the only thing holding them on is your hands... Ok got that sound in your head... Now give it a almost flat eq with a slight mid boost. Light tweeter and pre amp to fit room

Clear, full bodied, and punchy in the mids, but with some nice growl and grit in the low end, and some nice crystal sparkle to top it off. My Modulus Q5 gets it in spades with fresh rounds on it.

There is no "tone" in my head. I set up, I warm up, I adjust the amp for whatever sounds good to me that evening. That makes it quite easy to be happy...and I have no intention of pursuing some mythical "tone".

Right on.
