As soon as my Proton arrives I’m going to give this a try.So I’ve had a bit of time off from work weather related
Putting the BCP/EQ post Envelope Filter is seriously good. Like this is the best filter tones I have ever had
I’m using a
Dreadbox Kinematic
SGFX Bi Filter
3Leaf Audio Proton
I know Envelope Filters are a very “personal “ thing but I believe this is well worth a go. Great balance… not each string has its own volume.
Quite impressive I think
Erhh...say what?
Now, this pic of dormant stage equipment, with all leds on on all amps which one sticks out the most? The only thing apart from the Chinese Wall that's visible from space!

Now, find me a proper science research that came to the opposite conclusion of below:
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
"Blue light from electronics is linked to problems like blurry vision, eyestrain, dry eye, macular degeneration, and cataracts"
According to research (and pretty extensive research too) blue LED lights are bad for eyes. LED lights produce excess high-energy blue light which affects your eyes and health. Despite this, LEDs have become super common for their cost-saving properties"
"Blue light is of concern because it has more energy per photon of light than other colors in the visible spectrum, i.e. green or red light. Blue light, at high enough doses, is therefore more likely to cause damage when absorbed by various cells in our body, and eyes".
... just as there were no alternatives to white light. Red, green, amber, yellow, orange. I've never owned one with white light I tell you.
“Headroom”
I don’t it’s volume heat or power that stresses the BCP/EQ it’s how much low end you send it.
Anyone believe similar??
Lower frequencies tend to sound quieter than higher frequencies at the same amplitude, so we usually need a stronger low end. This is where some of the issues with bass compression happen: low frequencies tend to trigger more compression, even though they sound quieter.“Headroom”

The Comp knob clockwise opens volume and clarity. Shouldn’t it be the opposite? My Broughton and Empress compressors dull tone with increasing compression.
It depends on if the compressor adds make up gain automatically with higher compression. I tend to prefer compressors that don't, but you can just decrease output level to compensate if needed. The Comp knob clockwise opens volume and clarity. Shouldn’t it be the opposite? According to the manual, the mid knob is fixed at 500hz and is not affected by the frequency switch. I'm not 100% sure of the rest (I've only used the Alma and not an actual Diamond compressor) but I would think the EQ is post compression, so does not change the behaviour of the compressor.DOes anyone know the center MID frequency of the MID button on the BCP/EQ ? I mean on the toggle switch for the TILT function it's labeled 250/500/900 center "shift" so to speak, but which frequency the MID knob operates seems only be listed on as "MID"....does it crossover to anyone of the TILT frequencies?
Does all this EQ applies to after compression (post) or before compression? (pre). I mean if the TILT switch is used, does it compress only freq "above" 900 Hz or something, or the other way around?
