Did La Bella change the formula on their 760FX flats?

I decided I needed a set of flats on one of my basses, so after trying a lot of different sets by different manufacturers, I settled on the La Bella 760FX flats. My favorites!! Two things I noticed that were different, since last using them;

The silk color is now dark green. I actually like it, but that's only cosmetic.

Most importantly, they feel a lot more flexible than I recall. Again, a great thing, but it made me wonder; did La Bella change something in the manufacturing of their Deep Talking Flats?

I put a set of fx on one of my P's and omg. Perfect!

Reviving an old thread. I just had the same experience with 760FS: Took of a 5 year old set and put on new one that feels a lot more flexible and less stiff. Did they change anything?!

LaBella told me the strings are the same and the green silk is the color they used in the early days. More vintage correct. The fx are my favorites as well.

I liked the blue ones. Nice shade of blue it was.

No, just the 760FX (39-96).

La Bella Low Tension Flats (42-100) = Burgundy/wine.
760FL (43-104) = Red.
760FS (45-105) = Black.
760FM (49-109) = Blue.
0760M (52-110) = Blue.

I always thought I was just imagining things because I very rarely install new LaBellas (after all, they last for DECADES) but for a couple of years now I've found LaBella DTFs to be extremely inconsistent out of the box. Some sets feel slightly stiffer and have a brighter, more metallic edge to the tone out of the box. Some sets sound more or less broken in out of the box, much mellower tone and also have a slightly "bouncier" feel. They always seem to end up in the same place once they're REALLY broken in though so I'm not really complaining.
