Did the TalkBass forum format change?

Sorry about the mess. I didn't announce anything because I thought in this day ISP's would be updating their DNS on a decent schedule.

On March 14th we started off-loading all images and javascript to a Content Delivery Network (CDN). CDN's speed up website loading for users, because instead of loading all the data from the TB server in Texas, you can get the data from an ultrafast node in various spots around the country (NY, LA, etc) and internationally.

Your ISP, however, has not updated its DNS, and so your browser don't know what to do with our new image calls to img.talkbasscdn.com, and it can't load javascript from js.talkbasscdn.com, etc. I wish I could tell you when they'll update - 99% of ISP's updated within minutes of the change. Some take a day, but by now you should be updated... :(

Thanks for the explanation. Fortunately, the site is still usable......It just looks strange.

I'm pretty ignorant of corporate firewalls, but if they indeed handle their own DNS this would explain why so many people at work still cannot resolve talkbasscdn.com.

Still, I would think they could update at least every couple weeks :(

The site is loading up like this for me today, very bare bones, no banner on the top. I suppose I should just wait and see if it self-corrects?

If you're at work, maybe you can try telling your IT department to update its DNS to get you access to talkbasscdn.com

If you're at home, you might try contacting your ISP, as they should not take a month to get you access to new domains.
