didja miss me?

@pcake, oh my, but sounds like you're getting better and better, perceiver Patty. I've had health issues for many years, damage done by radiation treatments for lymph cancer many years ago. What gets me through it is a positive attitude and mind set to keep moving forward. Best wishes to you, keep up the good work.

I had wondered where you went. I've recently been checking up on folks who suddenly disappeared -- well, by my reckoning as "sudden" can be relative -- and was curious why I hadn't seen any posts. Take it easy getting back into life, but definitely get back into it.

So Anyway, glad you're doing better and that your recovery will continue.

While you were gone, TB'ers unanimously sent a demand letter to every known bass manufacturer. We insisted that all new basses are uniform in weight and neck width. This will eventually stop the 'Weight?' questions in TB classified. We've agreed that this takes valuable time away from our P vs J discussions. We threw in neck width proactively, as we knew that'd be next.
Our discussions on 'Best Weight' continue as we await the response from the manufacturers.

Love and Luck, my friend.

Welcome Back, and All the Best ! ! !

You hang in there (. . . . you're lucky, hanging's too good for me !)

hey, fellow TBers -

early last april, i had a mild stroke. i was in the hospital and rehab till late may, and i'm getting rehab at home now. my bass playing isn't what it was, but i can still play, talk, and my typing is coming back, so i thought i'd say hi.

not sure what i missed, but hope my buddies are alive, well and rocking!
So THAT'S where you've been. Welcome back! Glad you are on the mend.

You've missed ALOT! During your absence, the following happened:

The tonewood debate was solved.
Gene Simmons is now liked.
The issue of mixing cabs is no longer an issue.
Rickenbackers are now considered to be the most comfortable bass.
Tube watts vs solid state watts has been put to rest.
It's been revealed that although Jaco only needed four strings, he secretly wanted five.
The P bass has been completely replaced. Nobody uses them anymore.

Other than those highlights, it's still business as usual here on TB. 😎
