Digitech bp355 patch ideas

Royal Blood
Hey, I'm looking for a patch that gives me an electric guitar with distortion matching what I play on bass ala Royal Blood. I'm in a three piece and when it's solo time we still need some rhythm guitar there on a few songs. @Crystalman85 I'm tagging you since it seems like you really know the program but Any help is appreciated

Truthfully I'm not too familiar with royal blood, but I have been looking up clips on youtube on how to duplicate that guitar-like sound and it sounds to me like distortion with an octave high. perhaps this patch might help. don't know if it would be accurate(especially since I no longer own one), but give it a shot and see if it works out for you.

Hi, I'm new here. I'm trying to get the Steve Harris sound with my Fender precision special deluxe (mim). Whatever I try, with the BP355, I don't get the bombastic mids. Anybody that can help me? Thanks! (sorry for my bad english, I'm coming from Holland ;-)

Don't know if this helps(since I no longer own one), but give this patch a try and see if it works out for you.

Fretless/wah: off

Here's a new patch I thought of. this patch closely duplicates the tube driven sounds of the joyo orange juice and golden face.

Iron bassdrive

Fretless/wah: off

Greetings folks...new to the group but a long time BP355 and RP355 consumer. Can someone clarify how you read the EQ settings that are posted here? I seem to have more setting options that you have numbers! Examples below (BTW...the picture is a really nice Slap Bass patch):

What you show: EQ: warm---4---1987---7---5---2...how does that translate to the picture (I get the warm setting for the EQ, but I mean the numbers). Based on the picture, I would expect something like this--EQ: Scoop---30---(-4)---1250---0---4---4000---0---78. Cheers...

I recently got a BP355, and I'm having fun going through this old thread.

Thumper, I think that the EQ numbers sorrespond to Bass, MidHz, Mid, Treble and Pres. Gain and Level are not EQ settings, and TrebHz isn't available on the unit, only via the X-Edit software.

I'll be receiving a BP355 soon and was wondering if there is still a loyal following of this unit.
I would be interested in a patch that gives just a slight amount of dirt but keeps the integrity of the original tone.
Thanks

I still use it on occasion. I really don't use effects these days in the band. However, CrystalMan created a VT Bass patch that is very good. I really recommend you try that one. It's on this thread. When I used the BP355 for live shows, that was my go to patch

I used to use mine all of the time but recently moved to a Tech21 Bass FlyRig. Much smaller unit and does exactly what I need it to. Less is More...

It's been a while since I've posted any patch ideas here. so here's a new patch Idea I came up with. this patch closely duplicates the heavy grind of a darkglass alpha omnicron.

I have to say even though i don't really use my BP355 anymore, when i did, it really held up well and very useable for live work. The band I work with is ampless, so I would simply run the BO355 into the mixer. Never failed to give me great results. out guitarist has been using the RP355 for years, like around 8 years. He programmed about 8 sounds he really likes and uses at gigs. It's never failed him. I know don't like it for live work but I found it to be very reliable and decent sounding.

(reserved) i also just got mine so far so good but 1 thing dislike is the way you navigate through patches, i mean the UP and DOWN style is so antiquated.....im hoping theyre not planning on following the RP line and releasing a BP500 or BP1000 with all the same feature/functions as our BP355s except with the more intuitivre switching system, UP, DOWN, + A,B,C,D....any opinions/input/TIPS on how to arrange patches for easy acces? right now i have to keep a whammy patch every 4th patch so i can get to it quickly, but im finding myself also needing a "grind" tone every few as well to keep 1 close by....

ill be back with some patches thanks Crystalman85 for starting this thread and updating the community with the earliest sound samples i could find on the net
You gotta use the X-Edit program on PC or Mac. All FX & parameters are available to adjust and you can save all the presets you can make, and load 70 of them on the device in any order.
So much easier than navigating thru the device.

Hi all, and especially @Crystalman85: thanks for this thread, seems to be the most recently active given the "retired" status of the BR 355. I've had one since 2012, love it, had not really used it to its potential. Now in a Post Rock project, a trio, and therefore looking for more than the traditional bass sounds. Already using a few of the patches here, thanks!

Decided X-Edit is the way to go though. Got a link from Digitech for the software, but cannot get it to install on Win 11 machine. Has anyone had success installing X-Edit recently?
