Digitech bp355 patch ideas

Based on the comments on this thread and others picked up a used one yesterday - wow! It's my first 'pedal' type device and it's overwhelming all it can do.

Being a relative newbie I'm not sure what fuzz/wah/etc are so i'm really swimming in the deep end in lead pants!

I'll give shot to loading the software and see how that works, the screen shot looks a lot more logical than the charts in the book.

Yeah, just got to play with it. What I like about the computer interface is that you can easily reorder the presets. I pushed all my favorites and tweaked/ created ones up front.

Still wondering if anyone has inconsistencies with the octave effects. It seems like the octave wavers in and out. I think it just play an octave lower than the note I am playing, but it seems to cut in and out.
Anyone?

I've heard about the octaver bit - still new to it so can't say what's going on.

I got it hooked to the computer, hada few USB driver teething issues but a reboot seems to have fixed them.

You can do a LOT more with the software than you can with the unit itself - you can put just about any parameter on the pedal - so you can switch amps in stompbox mode or 2 dozen other things.

My first attempt at making some presets sucked big time. I little knowledge truly is a dangerous thing.

Punch 6 is nice - enhances the sound but keep is sounding like a bass, maybe a touch of acoustic reverb in there too. For learning/practicing i like it.

Hey man, I LOVE the heavy distortion patch on your SoundClick page. Could you post the settings? I'd appreciate it! Thanks for starting this thread, by the way. The BP355 is a monster to mess with. I'm always interested in what others are doing with it. Thanks!

I don't really recall what settings I did with that sound sample, but if I remember correctly, I think I've use the digitech high gain model with either the eden 4x10 cab model or the fender 4x10 cab model along with the voodoo lab sparkle drive overdrive model. it's either that or I've may of use a fender dualshowman amp model with an eden 4x10 along with a digitech grunge distortion model. I'm sorry that I don't remember what settings I've used on that sound sample(especially since I no longer own a digitech bp355), but give that a try and see if that works out for you.

The octaver on the digitech bp355 seems like it doesn't track that well. even though I don't use octave effects that much. personally, I like using distortion and modulation effects.

I've noticed that this thread has resurfaced and some of you were requesting patch ideas. I was wondering do you guys want more patch ideas for the digitech bp355? although I no longer own a digitech bp355 but if you do want more patch ideas for the digitech bp355, then I would have no trouble buying it once again and give you guys more patch ideas. also I've noticed I haven't posted that much patch ideas. it might be a while until I get it again, but eventually I will buy it again to give you guys more patch ideas.

Thanks man, I'll start there. Appreciate it!

Anytime, dude. even though I no longer own a digitech bp355, I did try my best remembering how I achieved that sound. however, I do plan to buy it again since everyone here is requesting more patch ideas for the digitech bp355. it might be a while until I get it again, but more patch ideas will be posted real soon.

Here's a patch idea I thought of. this patch is a distorted synth patch that emulates dubstep sounds. a fun patch to try out if you play electronica and experimental music.

Dubstep bass

Fretless/wah: off
Comp: cscomp---50---40---50
Distortion: off
Amplifier(amp a): rectfr---ed4x10---45---50
Amplifier(amp b): mster77---ed4x10---40---50
EQ: midboost---4---1897---4---5---3
Chorus: autoya---0---50---40
Delay: off
Reverb: off
Expression: autoya

Even though I haven't bought the digitech bp355 yet, I did thought of this patch idea. hopefully this patch idea does duplicate a dubstep sound.

Here's another patch idea I just thought of. this patch idea is similar to dubstep bass, only it's with a ya-ya effect to manually control the drop bass sound.

Dubstep bass 2

Here's a patch that I've come up with. it is an overdrive patch that's suitable for rock and metal music.

Here's another patch I've come up with. this patch is similar to tube overdrive, only with a voodoo lab sparkle drive model for a more blended overdrive sound. a great patch for hard rock and heavy metal music.

Tube overdrive 2

Fretless/wah: off

eq: warm---2---1875---(-)2---3---0
chorus: off
delay: off
reverb: off

Here's another patch I just thought of. this is an overdriven boost that may duplicate the bass heavy sounds of a devi ever dark boost pedal.

Dark boost
