Digitech RPx400 or Behringer BCA2000?

Hey Guys I know two guys who are selling these two items. I am looking for a dual channel recording for stereo because there are some songs I really want a good chorus and panning effect.

The Digitech is a guitar pedal but I must say it has some great options, whereas the behringer is dedicated for recording only. To be honest, the prices are close to the same for either or. Anyone have experience with either of these? I'm running Ubuntu as an extra bit of info.

But fwiw, behringer makes Engergy XT which is one of the commercial daws for Linux
