I have a 1986 Charvel 1B. I love the bass but I also love the Billy Sheehan sound. I was thinking about putting the Relentless pickup in it.
Any thoughts?

I was looking into that. Buy it from Dimarzio directly. They told me 2 weeks to ship. I have talked to a couple reverb dealers who said due to COVID Dimarzio is 4 months behind getting them pickups.
that said I decided to wait. I have the attitude 3 with willpower and I’m told the relentless is just the new version of the willpower. Of course I was going to put it in my American Original 50 pbass but decided against it.
the willpower is like half the price now. And is killer. And even though I have his signature bass I sound nothing like him. Lol
Is that banjo mike? He is cool. He had the silver cover but no black cover which is what I wanted.I agree that the willpower are great pickups. The relentless have a lot more output and they are darker sounding than the wp.
I bought the relentless through Mike's music on ebay because he had stock, no idea if he still does.

the attitude 3 with wp is super loud compared to any other bass I have. I assumed it was the 500 k pot. I do like that you are saying the relentless is darker.
I just got an attitude bass last week.. I don't want to mess with the pickups in it.. I want to play it just like it is.IMHO getting an ebs Billy Sheehan drive pedal, preferably the ultimate version will get you a LOT closer to his tone than changing to the latest version of his pickups.
For context I've had all three versions of that pedal, I have a couple sets of the relentless pickups and own attitude basses.
Hope that helps.

so you can put the stereo jacks in the pedal and run them through 1 amp? Both are great IMO but I prefer the ultimate over the deluxe . This applies to all versions but since you have an attitude bass You can run the output from the p pup into the regular input and the output from the neck pup into the clean loop and you'll have a real solid Sheehan sound at your fingertips.
If you aren't aware of it the attitude club on facebook is really the best place to get information on those basses and all things Sheehan.

Yes, this is what I'm doing; both cables from the bass go into the pedal and you will have independent volumes on the pedal for each channel/pickup. The pedal combines the two signal's into one output. Let me know if this isn't clear. You can do this on all versions of the pedal.
