Dimarzio Model J pot value

I just ordered a set of Dimarzio model J's for my MIM Jazz. They work fine with 250k pots, right? What would the difference be between the 250k and the 500k?

500k will have more treble and bite. 250k will take some of that off and the overall sound will be smoother.

I think DiMarzio says to use 500K pots, but as other folks have said here, they will work well with 250K pots. The Model J pickups that is. I don't have any experience with the Ultra J's.

Sounds good to me. I also just ordered some Labella flats to go on it. Smooth is good.
