I was hoping there would be a bit more versatility in there in terms of breadth of tones other than the obvious Stingray comparison. I'll definitely need to hear one in person. I was looking at the passive Retrovibe Super P, but the Squier Dimension 4 is in the same price bracket, or for that matter the ESP LTD vintage range or the Sire...
If the Dimension can be persuaded to do something fairly fat and thick and warm as well as in-yer-face then I'm happy.
The Dimension is a fatter version of the Stingray tone. Check out my thread, "Stingray Love," where I a/b my Dimension and a SR5. The Dimension has a much darker tone.
