Diminishing octave effect the lower one plays

The "Lo Retain" knob on the C4, set properly, will reduce the effect on lower notes. I have had some success setting this up when I used to use a C4. Find the point where the Lo Retain has little or no effect on the note that you want the transition to happen, and each note lower will have more and more clean mixed in.
