Folks, I'm the proud owner of a new Dingwall ABZ 5. It looks and plays beautifully, but I'm having a problem that I have yet to figure out. I'm hoping perhaps one of you has some advice.
Problem is that the g string on the bass has no oomph. To be heard at all in a small-spaced rehearsal setting (bass, two guitars, drums, vocal) I must strike the string hard. I've tried a number of EQ settings, primarily cranking up the treble and high mids on my GK Fusion 550. My adjustments have not made much of a difference so far. The other four strings sound great, cut through perfectly. Any ideas? I must be missing something here...
Thanks.
G.
