Dingwall NG 2

Anyone understand Dingwall's serial numbering system? I just picked up a NG 2 fiver and would like to understand date of mfg. It looks and plays awesome btw. Not a scratch. I called one of their dealers who simply said "nope no idea"- and sent an inquiry to Dingwall on their site and got no response. Minor inconvenience, not even annoyed about it but just want to know.

You should post this in the Dingwall owners thread.

Are the pickups squared off rectangles (older models) or are they ovalled rectangles (newer models). I used to have a NG-2 when they were first on the market and they had the squared off pickups. I think these were available from like 2015 - early 2018. The ovalled pickups came after, along with the NG-3. My NG-3 dates back to 2018 (along with the DB pickup switch).

Ahh this helps. Def. squared off and the serial # does contain a 15 so I lean towards 2015 Thanks all
