Of the AB series, I like the ABII as I like the chambered look. Lines are a little 'harder', a little less rounded. Necks on the Zs/Sklar are thinner, though not sure how much that shows. It's like a favorite color. Can you explain why you like your favorite color?

That is because the Afterburners are fine basses.:) I like both the Z and the ABs. I forget, did you say you had played a Z? I like the neck just a tad better.

I love them both equally, but the ABs are more financially attainable for me right now, so that makes the AB my favorite between the two, at least for the moment!

Still, I just like the AB better. It looks more...symmetrical, or less asymmetrical. I dunno. That's probably not a very good description. My eyes just like the way the lines on the Afterburner flow.

I felt the same for the longest time...... then I fell in love with the Z neck and the ergos and it was all over. I truly thought my AB2 was amazing and I would totally own an AB again but I’d only ever spec out a Z from new moving forward. Excluding the Short scales. Different topic all together.
