@IvanBassist one pic I saw had a blue NG with the domestic style bridge and another NG in the same pic had the individual saddles like the imports. Any details on the differences?

Interesting that even though the import Super PJ has a pickguard the jack is mounted into the body. I guess this is how the domestic versions are as well?

Also, is it me, is it the camera angle, or does that body seem extra thicc? The domestic Supers are definitely sleeker than a Fender front to back.

No, they're mounted on the pickguard. At least, they used to be. They got rid of the SJ control plate long ago, so those are all rear mounted.

I guess the idea behind that is that should you wish, you could go pickguard-less and all you are left is with the screw holes but all the controls and imput jack stay on the body, you don't even need to remove the knobs from the pots. I think it's a neat idea

That is correct, the newer Super J's and P's have thinner bodies. They used to chamber them to keep the weight down, but now they have thinner (than traditional Fender) bodies that has the same effect.

Yeah, it looks like the pots are also mounted to the body and not the PG. Maybe it's designed for a quicker process to swap PG without needing to remove knobs and nuts for those that like to change things up often.

I thought so too. It’s a wide angle perspective so it may be skewed a bit but I think it’s thicker than CDN models.

Interesting take. Makes it a lot easier to swap pickguards. However with the beveling on those knob and jack holes, it is probably not a cheap pickguard to make.

It's a super wide angle lens which distorts the image by a ton at the edges which this was. It's probably the same thickness as with the NG3 and Combustion, wouldn't really make sense to make it thicker.

No kidding - it was such a quick panning shot that I had to slow playback to 25% to see what he was talking about.

Canadian Super Ps are thinner than a typical Fender. That fisheye camera lens is definitely adding girth but I wouldn’t be surprised if they went with a typical body thickness.

The body feels the same as my Canadian Super P.
