People won’t know if they never played an Alembic I’ve owned some of the best build quality out standing filter The Europa has the best filter for rock I’ve owned three others. As well

Ooooh this, fretless, on a roasted ash neck? Cannot afford, but absolutely want.As far as I know, for fretless Dingwalls it is now the only fingerboard option.

Guessing they named it that as it's an ebony replacement, and likely some branding/side-stepping of stigmas and preconceived notions of what maple "should" look and maybe sound like.
That's more or less what I'm about to do:
My Z3 is absolutely fantastic and this is why I'd like to buy a Super J (oder perhaps Super PJ / Super P). After having bought the Z3, I'm not in the financial position to afford myself one right away which means that I need to raise some money by selling other basses.
Heh. I made the "all in on Dingwall" shift in 2014 and it's been aces ever since. The lone holdout is fretless, where my Pedulla shines. If the right used fretless Dingwall lands though, game over 
Add me to that list. I was a devoted Sadowsky player until Jason sent me home one afternoon from working at Fret Nation with an NG3... "just try it" he said.... Here we are, years later and I've sold 2 of my 3 custom sadowskys and the remaining one hasnt been touched since.

It's interesting to see what folks' previous instruments were. Mine were primarily Bongos.

I do have a wide vatiety of basses, mostly classics. And 2 Dingwalls und now one Mayones.
The only thing they have in common is: 5 strings. I am too dumb to change between string numbers
The level of craftmanship and innovation on the Dingwalls is outstanding. Especially the Z3 is a masterclass of its own. The only one of my other axes that is up there, too, is my Thumb 5 NT Custom Shop.

super modded out mim jazz bass, ric 4003 (x4), 4001, 4005xc… then a ng3. sold that to get a ab1 5er, custom ab1 6 strong with f# tuning, custom 4 string super j… and waiting on a custom 5 string z3.
i would get another jazz but none quite have the specs/aesthetics i want. 4003’s are just so amazing. i still want a new skunk stripe 4003sw with pickup cocer.
I hope no one here got taken by the handful of fake Dingwall listings on Reverb yesterday. There was a newer Prima listed under $10k, and a SP at $3k. I reported both as suspicious, especially since some of the SP photos were of one of @IvanBassist's, and I'm pretty sure I know the owner of the Prima that was listed, as well. I saw the seller had a couple other Dingwalls listed that didn't seem as blatant of scams. I did report the two I had high confidence in, and all the listings are gone now.
Need some help/possibly talking me off the fence lol--
There is a dingwall ab2 in Canada that I have been lusting after for a month at least. I would really like to make it one of my forever Basses, but I am terrified of the extra fees that may be waiting for me if I import this. The seller doesn't seem very helpful with the understanding of all of it. It is on reverb(hopefully not fake from what I read above, doesn't seem to be).
I feel like the price is fair, and I would have to aggressively move some things if I wanted to acquire it (which hasn't been really happening anyway). I just can't imagine spending almost 5K and then turning around and getting a bill for another 600 to 2 grand and not being able to pay it.
Has anybody had any instances where they have bought something from Canada on reverb here in the US? Thank you, my low end friends- Jeff

Neither Z that I purchased while US Tariffs were actually active got hit with any fees. Now that the courts in the US have also largely nullified them, I would expect none on a Canadian made instrument.
I’ve seen this clown He had a Prima for 6/500 and a Z3 for 3 k.
Did you get hit with any customs or import fees from the shipper? I know when I bought a Yamaha silent from Japan on eBay, I got hit with 60 bucks after the fact (which was not a huge deal in this case). I just don't wanna get hit with something a lot more unexpectedly.
