Thanks. I can't find a mark on it. All it needed was a new set of strings and a good setup. I cannot complain.

Yes the B|Amp/HDN-410 combo really really brings out the P-Tone on the blue burst and the middle/bridge position has a cut through the mix burp to it. When I blend in the B7K, I get a nice Rickenbacker 4003 growl. I love the old Spock's Beard, Dave Meros tone.

The light weight of the combo makes for an easy schlep, too.

So, in your opinion is the B7K a "Meros dupilcator"? I've been looking for a good pedal to be able to give me that tone (and Squire and Pinnick tones). My ABZ does just about every other tone I need on its own.

How about Plastidip and a lot of masking tape? The stuff is amazing. Very tough but peels right off. I'm going to "dip" the maple heel below the 24th fret of my ABZ neck so it matches the pickups.

Aaah. A Meros fan
Especially on "The Light", I love his Eden/Rickenbacker tone. I just was never fond of Rics. I tried to like 'em. Had 3 or 4 but hated their ergonomics. The P-Tone combined with the FD3 bridge pickup in parallel gets it pretty damn close.

The B|Amp / HDN-410 is very powerful but VERY clean. To get the 500 Hz grit that Meros gets the B7K (or the pedal only B3K) does a great job.

Perhaps one day on the payson but I'm a whatever light gauge stainless I can find on the cheap kind of guy.

Good luck finding "cheap whatever" strings long enough to fit the B and E on that bass.

The dingwall stainless strings are fairly cheap aren't they? I quite like them. They are around $30 Canadian at my local L&M

Dingwall uses Dunlop strap locks. I believe a regular Dunlop pin will 'mate' with it.

Maybe a vinyl sticker would be worth a shot? It would only fill the bottom of the route but would be easily reversible.

Thanks folks I can't wait to get it.
Sadly, I couldn't swing the wenge neck. I did go with the blacked out heel and headstock though. Maple neck, wenge fretboard, blacked out H&H. 6 string, glock 3 band pre, S/P toggles, drop tuner on B, green luminlay side dots. I ordered first week of March '16, so if it gets wrapped up in March, it'll be just overa year since I ordered.
