From what I've read it is a very good pedal and a bit of distortion would help for the band I play in right now.

My concern is that it may alter the sound of my ABZ too much when set to clean because I would like to use it as an outboard preamp too.

Would you recommend using it as a distortion/preamp pedal or should I get the VT bass for distortion and a onboard preamp?

Thanks for the link, Minty. I had already watched that video, though. It is pretty amazing.
If you recommend the pedal, then it has to be good.
Who wouldn't believe a guy who sold all his basses and switched to 100% Dingwall? :D

99.9%, I still keep a Precision bass... but that might change when my Super J P/J arrives.

Thanks Ivan, I've had it for a year now, changed the neck pup from parallel to series (love it), and changed the pick guard to black pearl as the baltic amber seemed to generate audible static electricity when one dragged their fingers across the pick guard.

I couldn't imagine going back to a "regular" bass at all now. I have just ordered a Phil Jones Neo 12B cabinet so I am anxiously anticipating a whole new sound to my Dingy compared to the 12" Mesa Walkabout I am currently using!

btw Do I have to p.m. rollerberg to get a D club number?

Yeah, duh,:o I've been yakking in the PJ thread a bunch and your name came to mind. Theres probably enough clubs at the moment as I obviously can't keep track of just two! I will post pics when I get the PJ 12B!
