I'm going with the Afterburner I. I'm thinking Purpleburst (but maybe a bit darker than what I posted).

Now it's down to maple neck or bubinga neck.

thanks for the heads up. i'm definitely going to check that clip out. a shop near me has a passive super j that had a feel & sound that i really liked. if/when the time comes that i want to ditch/supplement my 44-02, a dingwall will surely get my attention!
