A few years back, before my time here on TB, I was really into Sabbath. I always looked at the Ozzy Era as the original Black Sabbath, but that's just in terms of the original line-up. The Dio era songs were some of my favourite Sabbath songs, and I was excited when they got together to do the Heaven and Hell group. This is the most unfortunate musician news I've heard in a long while, and so my condolences go out to all those suffering. RIP RJD!

Yes, it's true...the press release from his wife on his official website says he passed this morning around 7:45 am. This sucks.

That sucks! My band played "Man on the Silver Mountain" for the 1st time in months yesterday, must have been some sort of psychic energy going on there. I new he had cancer but I didn't think he was that close to death and now apparently he passed. I saw him twice once with "Dio" and last year with "Heaven and Hell", great both times. I didn't realize he was that old (67?).
