Dirk Lance of Incubus

Thanks for clearing things up. I thought Incubus had a studio bassist and a live bassist, I didn't know it was the same guy.
I think he's really good as well, but as stated before, he gets drowned out a little by the guitars!

I saw Incubus Fri. night. Dirk was awesome. The only problem that I had is that the kick drum was way too loud. But Dirk played really good, especialy on The Warmth.

yeah, i guess incubus isn't so big yet but they're getting there at an alarming rate. you gotta listen to fungus amongus to find his true funk. it's very bass heavy. it made me cry to know that he was only somewhere between 15 and 17 on that album. he's definitely one of the best around today.

I remember when they used to play backyard parties around town when i was in highschool & the year I graduated.I cant say I am not jelous of him but I am very happy they are doing as well as they do.Also A band named hoobustank from the same area that used to play shows with Incubus & my band before they got picked up on Island.Is going on tour with incubus this fall I think they are worth checking out.

Dirk is a fine bassist(IMHO).

Not familiar with Incubus` earlier work,which would you guys recommend? I have "Make Yourself" and really love it!I hear it is "softer" than their vintage recordings though.

To me,Incubus is one of the few bands who actually make good use of the turn tables.They complement the song,instead of overpowering/weighing them down.

the older stuff is a bit more heavy, but also a bit more funky.
Get the 'Enjoy Incubus' e.p, it has the best songs from Fungus Amongus but they are re-recorded and somewhat different.
S.C.I.E.N.C.E is a great album, very highly recommended.
The new C.D is out in the 23rd of this month.
