Disc Golf

My son and I were riding our mountain bikes on Martha's Vineyard when we rode through the middle of the back nine of a course. Fortunately, no one was playing as we rode through (I wonder what the local ground rules are about rogue mountain bikers?)

Looked interesting - about half the course is in a field and half in the woods - I may give it a try next year.

We still play all the time and have since I was around 15 ( I am 40 now)

We laugh at the people with little fistfulls/bags of different frisbees for different shots. We play with a plain old 135 masters disc you can get for 8 bucks at k-mart. Before my elbow injury, on a calm day I could crush the multi-disc guys if they didn't drive well.

Lots of fun playing beer-a-hole skins games with a bunch of 22s who think they're youth and special frisbees will kick the old man's butt. :D

I drank a lot of free beer, but I should note that at the time it was a pole only course. No chain baskets, just hit the post to hole out.

<sigh>

Nowadays, since 4 reconstructions of the right spanish archer, the short game is all I have left. I can only chuck a drive about 60 yards at best. :help: :rollno:
