'DIY Guitar Shop' Kit Basses (in the UK)

Hi,

I'm usually a double bassist but came over to the dark side of talkbass :hiding: to ask about these pretty cheap kits - I'd be fairly interested in taking up BG as well.

Does anyone have any experience of these kits?
If not, what do they look like to those of you who know these things?

Cheers,
Jamie

If the proper time and care is taken, kits like this can come out rather playable. It's not going to play like a $1000 bass, but you can have a good player to start on for a decent price. Saga makes kits as do Mighty Mite and Eden. It can be a bit of a gamble, but generally the response to kits is positive.

hello,
I was wondering the same thing as you, Jamie. I've looked everywhere to see if it is a legit site and to see whether the bass you make is actually good. So, I was wondering... did you end up getting the bass kit?
