DIY vintage looking case for DB750

Hi, I started a new project this week. It's a case for my DB750 that will hopefully make it look a little more like and old school amp. I modeled the new case after the look of the Matamps from england.
It will have a core that the amp screws to and a removable front and back plates with piping on the butt ends.
I'm putting two leather handles on the top and a spring loaded recessed side handle.
Here are a couple pictures of the progress so far. I attatched the front and back while forming it so the edges are sure to line up.

Very cool project, I actually just picked up a used svt2pro with a similar vintage style rack mount box. I definitely look forward to seeing how it turns out. Good luck!

I always thought it’d be cool to mount some amp guts in Vox trap head case.

I've made some progress.
The case and plates are both sanded and primed. I countersunk strong magnets to the ends and the plates. I'll put on locking pins to keep the plates in line.

Ok. Its done. It turned out pretty close to what I was planning.
The magnets and pins worked great.
