I have a bass that needs a new volume pot. The current one is scratchy and creates a huge amount of static when i adjust it. Being the volume knob, it is the one I use the most. It's to the point that I can't use the bass.
At one time, either before I plugged in the bass or once I had it plugged in with the volume turned down on my amp, I could roll it to max and back to "0" like 3 or 4 times and it wouldn't be an issue... now, that doesn't work anymore and anytime I try to adjust the volume on the bass (An MTD 6) it's scratchy and statticy (if that's a word)
I'm in the DC area... any recommendations of a place to get it fixed would be be appreciated. I really don't want to send this back to Tobias... I figure it's such a small issue that it can be handled locally.
