DNA Owners Group

Absolutely! Thanks for the heads up that it's an overall issue and not just me! :D I truly hope everything is ok and that he's just disconnected from the world for a few days! I'll give it a few more days and send him another email next week if I haven't heard from him.

...I'm just anxious to get my cab back up and running again! As much as I like my Avatar 2x10, it's been my workhorse, but my DNA is just a better all around cab! :D

Massive buzz. Just to start with. Lifted the ground, removed the ground and no difference. Also the tuner wasn't working. At all. Then the sound guy plugged the DI in. The buzz tripled in volume!! I hit the ground lift again and the buzz went mostly away and the tuner then worked!! I have no idea if any of these have anything to do with each other, but have no clue. I emailed David, but have not heard anything back yet.

Met the man behind the name. Nice guy. Down to earth too. I should have offered to help with his deck! Kind of guy to sit out back on the deck with a couple of beers and laugh with. But I digress... On first inspection I have a TS/TRS cable from my tuner to the amp. My SWR was a TRS. The DNA is TS.. So that might be one issue or even the only issue. Man I felt stupid on that one. I didn't even think of that. Just one of those obvious things I didn't see

So the story has a happy ending. Cool that the amp is OK.
The way I look at it is that Life would be pretty boring if nothing happened on the way.
Glad you got to meet him.

No, the amp still has problems. Not sure if the TRS cable is a problem at all, but it might be part of it.. David is going to do whatever it is he does and let me know next week. Until then, he gave me another amp to use. We have 4 shows that I had to have an amp for. I will swap them out as soon as he clears my amp..

Hope you get it sorted soon. This rig has sounded spectacular these last couple nights of gigging!

Made it through the gig last night on the loaner DNA.. Hopefully my amp gets sorted out by Thursday this week and I can get my rig back in 100% ready to roll.
Does anyone know the Tuner out jack on the DNA, if it is TS or TRS? David seemed to think it was TS

Glad to know all the DNA fans out there are enganging!! HA!! Anyway, I just left David's house. He has fixed my 1350 and wants to let me try out a DNA 4x10 for our next show in his neighborhood on Oct. 17th.. I am going to give it a whirl! Great guy. I will always give a shout out to the owner of a company that takes care of his customers. I mean really, his customer service was to tell me where he lived and meet with me directly!! How cool is that

We travel with a 12' trailer, so room is ok. However, switching cabinets for me also means the added expense of a road case and they are not cheap! Well worth the price, but not cheap.. I am wondering if 2 - 2x10's would be better than a single 2x10?? What would the difference be besides weight of each cabinet and having 2 cabinets? I always use the same rig for every show..

Personally, the 'modular' aspect of the 2x10 pair is probably the greatest appeal for me. It makes transporting them in my 4 door sedan much easier...and I find two trips carrying a ~50lb 2x10 each time is more rational to me than awkwardly hulking a 4x10/6x10 that weighs ~75lbs or more. I also like to stack them on their sides because they're 'taller' that way and closer to my ears when playing.

I play several size venues, many for the first time, and find a pair of 2x10s can be too much for some rooms. If that happens, I unplug the bottom cab and turn it into a sweet looking amp stand! :D
