Ok so I have had this Fender Boxer Bass for a little over a week and yes it is one of the best sounding, best playing basses I have ever played from Fender. The tone is really balanced and has great playability. I am only now beginning to really discover the abilities of the tone knob. I am really surprised. It's lightweight too. Bought it used for a grand and it looks as though it has been played sparingly. Came with a monster Gator Titan case. The case weighs as much as my car. All in all, I am really pleased. The lipstick red is a bit much but I didn't care for the green. There I said it.
You may have forgotten, but here’s a kind reminder of the unofficial rule of ‘pics or it didn’t happen’. TB members, being of the predominantly male variety (no offense ladies) are very visually oriented.

Well see the point of no content. I posted because I am really happy with this bass. I had seen a lot of posts with complaints about how it was just another knock-off bass from Fender. How pickups were crap and Fender was just trying to grab some market with a reissue. I am just really happy with this bass, surprised that's all. No I don't have any pics because its the red one and we all know what it looks like.
As far as a setup well I did a minor one and it was fine. Intonation needed a bit of tweeting but was not
bad.

I bought an older version of that bass in CAR used for my son quite a few years ago for a couple of hundred bucks. He plays mostly guitar now so he left it here when he moved out several years ago. It's a very nice easy to play bass that sounds very good.
