Ok so I have had this Fender Boxer Bass for a little over a week and yes it is one of the best sounding, best playing basses I have ever played from Fender. The tone is really balanced and has great playability. I am only now beginning to really discover the abilities of the tone knob. I am really surprised. It's lightweight too. Bought it used for a grand and it looks as though it has been played sparingly. Came with a monster Gator Titan case. The case weighs as much as my car. All in all, I am really pleased. The lipstick red is a bit much but I didn't care for the green. There I said it.

How dare you be pleased with your bass....it needs a set-up, a new nut, high mass bridge and pickups. While you're at it, you may as well swap the neck and body for something better. Being so lightweight, it probably doesn't have much sustain anyway. Oh and the tuner's are junk, so replace those and put in active preamp, with multieffects switch, but don't use the multieffects, because they all suck, pedals are better.

And...strip the finish and get that natural woody tone 'cause paint & lacquer adds unnecessary weight.
