Do I need to Break-in New PA monitors?

That being said, you should be fine to use them on your gig as long as you're not pushing them too hard.

IIRC, it's more so the sound that changes slightly after break in, not so much power handling characteristics, etc.
Okay I guess I'll hook them up to my stereo and let them get a few hours of playing time before the gig.

BTW, these are a great deal. Good sounding, well built monitors that cost me only $250cdn each brand new and only weigh 37LBS each.

Goodbye peavey back-breakers!

Break-in of a PA speaker is of such minor matter as to be virtually unnoticeable and maybe even unmeasureable. Very, very minor.
