I don't know exactly when it happened but a lot of us have become concerned about staying hydrated. If I am going away from my home for an extended time I carry a stainless steel bottle filled with water. I have a filter at home and I fill my bottle with that. I don't need to bring a bottle to work but if I am going on long drive, to the movies, to a sporting event or other outdoor activity I bring my water. I see a lot of other people here where I live do the same. We even have water bottle filling stations in the streets and at the airport. Do you carry water? Do others carry it where you live?
No, but I used to consume over 250 oz. of Diet Mt. Dew on a 3-hour road trip! I have cut back to half that in the last couple of 3-hour road trips.
No...but I should. That said, I am a habitual coffee drinker and usually have a cup in the car when driving.
I have a friend who carries a bottle with him at all times. He's obsessed with drinking a certain number of ounces a day (he's a bit obsessive about a lot of things), and the bottle has a readout of how much he's consumed. I drink when I get thirsty. I carry a bottle to the gym - that's it.
Yes. I carry water on every road trip. I also carry an aluminum survival blanket, rope, axe, waterproof matches, firestick, compass, cellphone, knife, bushjacket, protein bars, small boiling pot and various implements. You never know when you're going to get stranded in the middle of nowhere.
Down here it's not a bad idea to carry your own known safe water, or at least the means to purchase some reputable bottled water. We've had several municipal water systems down here test off the charts for bad stuff in their water, and with non existent oversight or any means in place to force them by law to do something about it, they just continue to deny and deflect.
My vision is that after the generation of bottle carriers there will be a generation of people walking around with their bladders catheterized for the benefit of their health and wellness.
I always have a 24oz bottle with me. I worked in operations for close to four years, and it wasn't uncommon for me to walk 5 miles in a day just at work. As such, staying hydrated was important. That translated over to my life outside of work. These days, I can't imagine going anywhere without water.
I have a Fiji 1 liter bottle always. I drink 3 liters a day minimum. It wasn't always that way. Coffee was my main source of water for years.
I always bring bottled water. I got tired of getting a glass of bar water with ice and a swizzle stick in it every time I asked for water.
This may sound strange but drinking too much water can be fatal. Strange but True: Drinking Too Much Water Can Kill
There's water just about everywhere I go. Why carry it? Carrot juice, on the other hand, is much harder to come by.
