I always wear shoes when I drive, I feel really weird because I don't feel like I'm pressing as much of the pedal down when I drive barefoot. Its a comfort thing.

i like wearing socks...or shoes. my car is really friggin dirty...so i'm not gonna drive barefoot. 
I love going barefoot everywhere and drive barefoot all the time.
And this thread on barefoot driving reminds me of this story (I don't know why). In my men's hockey league, our goalie showed up late (after the game had started) and he told us that he was already running late from trying out some new equipment at another rink so he decided to drive to the game in most of his gear including his skates. Because he's late he's also speeding, and gets pulled over by a cop, and when he got antsy trying to get the officer to hurry up and give him the speeding ticket the cop made him get out of the car. When he saw that the guy was wearing ice skates to drive he said, "You gotta be f****** kidding me!" and gave him another ticket for "unsafe operation of vehicle".

I drive a standard trans. car, and I can't drive stick barefoot or wearing sandals. So, I haven't done it in years, but I enjoyed it when I had an auto.
I wear shoes and socks as little as possible in the spring/summer. Unless I'm in work attire (tie, dress pants/shoes) I generally drive shoe/sock free. I'm in the garage right now, and my bare feet are enjoying the cool concrete...
