Do you like driving barefoot ? I drove one time just wearing socks and that was pretty painful.

I pretty much have to when I wear sandals. It's pretty pleasant.

I love it. Whenever I'm not wearing a closed-toe shoe, I do it. It feels so nice... as if you become one with your vehicle.


And it's not like anyone wears shoes down in Louisiana, anyway.

I thought a lot of places barefoot is OK, it's sandals that are illegal, they get hung up on the pedals. I lived in Calif. for years, I would slip off my flip flops and drive barefoot. Can't say I like or dislike it. I guess I'd rather wear shoes. Some cowboy boots, especially riding heels, you have to get used to. Some work boots are so heavy you have to get used to.
I'll stop thinking out loud now.

i was told it helps keep you awake when you're feeling tired while driving. I like to do it too.

I drive in flip flops which is probably more dangerous than bare feet. I drive a 25 year old Wagoneer so I don't go fast enough to hurt anyone
