I removed the comment for you. I don't wish to discuss it.I am one of the "pc weirdos" and it's not as funny as you think it is. We can have a discussion about respect if you want, but perhaps we can also just stick to the topic?
I have edited my comment so the substance isn't on record. Thanks.I removed the comment for you. I don't wish to discuss it.
How about calling them Manny and Romy?I got two Basses; the first ohne is a Emanuel Wilfer, that‘s the good one. The other is a romanian without label; that‘s the tiny romanian, because the corpus isn‘t that big and it wheigts much less than the Wilfer.
Have you named your basses? Why or why not?
I don't name any inanimate objects, nor do I assign them a gender. Why? Because I think it's stupid to do otherwise.
I find your reasoning to be sound and reasonable.
I had a Telecaster Bass years ago and it was a "big dipper" too because it was a notorious neck diver! Neck heavy, no good. Naming instruments is a time honored tradition. I can rattle off at least a half dozen nicknames and my wife will know exactly which instrument I'm talking about, two of which are upright basses- Doris and BB.*** "The Big Dipper" ***
