Do you share a famous name with anyone?

My brother "is" a well known sports announcer. If people ask, "Are you related to '...'?", my answer is always "Yes, he's my brother." Then I wait a beat and say "Oh, you mean THAT '...'?" Gets 'em every time.

iJazz - I am not my brother.

Frustratingly, I share the same name as at least two other professional bass players and at least two other record producers.

If I were a less ethical person I would not correct folks who often say to me "wow, I saw some of your credits, very impressive!"

Not all that famous, but I do share a name with this..."person"...

Hence your username?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Haha, that is actually the story behind my username. It was a nickname given to me by the guys in the fire department and has stuck with me ever since.

Since we are talking about birthdays I share a birthday with a famous bass player from the 80's named Timothy Gaines born on December 15th; he is a member of one of my favorite 80's bands Stryper!

THE YELLOW AND BLACK ATTACK!!!

It honestly never occurred to me that it was possible for Stryper to qualify as a living, breathing human's favorite band. My entire world view has been destroyed. Thanks a lot.
