No, but my good friend James Brown has gotten hassled before by some cops when he didn't have his I.D.

I share my name with a very famous Scottish chemist who was awarded a Nobel Prize for discovering the noble gases, while not as famous as the other names here, it's pretty cool because I ended up in the sciences too 
I have the same name as one of England's foremost fashion designers (he specializes in handbags).
Go figure.

Yes, with the guy who produced Depeche Mode. Note - I was never a big Depeche Mode fan.
Funny story - I was, at the time, playing in a Turkish band, Farabi, playing very obscure traditional Turkish music. We had just released our first CD.
I was on my way out the door to a gig when the phone rings.
"Hello, is this Jonathan Kessler? This is (so-and-so), music editor for the London Times".
... and I'm thinking "how the HECK did the London Times hear about us, and be interested??" - I'm thinking that for about 1 second until he asks...
"Do you have any comments on the suicide attempt by Dave Gahan?"
I asked "Uh... who?"
"Dave Gahan, of Depeche Mode"
"Uh... why do you ask?"
"Is this Jonathan Kessler, their producer?"
(sound of a small balloon of ego deflating.... phhhffft)
