Does anybody here read Japanese?

Would you guys be able to decipher this for me. It's taken years to find this info :woot:

When I got the guitar, I begged the sales agents to tell me anything but they couldn't find anything at all - just said it was 'old'. Poor souls were already flat out. I got it anyway. No regrets. It's the real deal.

I know it has a nitro finish - that's a good sign - the section under the bridge hasn't aged at the same rate as the rest of the top which is a lovely honey tone.

I know it's from 1999 or earlier - not so old :)
There's the catalog there, if you're interested. Some nice basses in there, too :)


I think it's carved solid European spruce and solid fiddleback maple but I'm guessing. It does look like it and it sounds like, too :)

I'd love to know if there's a string gauge there - not likely, I suppose :(

I've been running Thomastik GB112s with no ill-effects but I'd go a little heavier if I knew it was within spec, just to see what this thing can really do.
