These are all the photos I have of a Precision that I've got my eye on.
Heel trussrod with allenwrench adjustment, no faceplate logo or ghosted/removed image, body has holes for bridge cover & pickup cover. Pickguard middle layer is too thick for vintage Fender. No visible markings on neck heel...
Very rare / hard to find V1 edition that is an exact clone of the POG. Features levels for clean, octave down and octave up. Tracking is the absolute best I've come across in an octaver.
This has been a mainstay on my board, but I'm downsizing/simplifying and looking to for a pre. Trade...
I’ve had this one for close to 10 years. Solid and very organic/mellow sounding.I think it records just wonderfully. Seems to be a pretty decent copy of an Italian eko 995 model but made in Japan.
Some big finish checking, same as when I first got it. Beautiful figuring in the wood grain on the...

Up for sale is a 1970s Univox "Professional Bass" P Bass copy. I'm not sure of the exact year, but suspect it's between 1976 and 1979. It's a classic "lawsuit era" P Bass made in Japan at the legendary Matsumoku factory. It is 100% stock and comes with the original hardshell case. It's in great...

Hey all, I am a brand new member but have read quite a bit of threads here on MIJ vintage instruments, really appreciate all the knowledge and experience in this community, making it such a fantastic resource.
Curious to ask your thoughts on the year and exact model of my recently purchased...
Here for your consideration is a vintage JooDee Artist bass. This bass was mde by the Dyna Gakki company, which also produced the Daion line of instruments and, most famously, the first Japanese Fenders.
This pre-lawsuit bass features a Sen Ash body, and a one-piece maple neck. The bass is all...

Up for sale is an Aria EB3/SG type short scale bass. I am pretty sure it is a 1931 model number, but could actually be 1910. They are very similar. I have been on the fence for a long time about putting this one on the block. I love the old 70s Matsumoku "lawsuit era" basses and my...

Hey all. I picked up a beat to hell Encore J bass today for $20. The thing must’ve sat in a wet basement and before that, it was treated really really badly. I won’t get into all the specifics, but I would like to get it in working order.
I’m going to need new tuners and pickups. It had those...
My apologies if this has already been posted.
When I read this it looks bad for Dean, but when I get to the end....$4,000 ???

so i bought a supertone two point bridge from hipshot for my old beat-up mij eb-0 aria copy bass and to my surprise aria was not very interested in keeping bridge screw sizes standard with the gibson ones
is my only option plugging the holes with a dowel and redrilling? iirc you're not supposed...
This is a beautiful 1976 Aria Pro Jazz Bass made in Matsumoku, Japan.
All original parts, and in a great condition aesthetically and structurally.
The neck is straight and features maple fretboard with binding and block inlays that aged nicely.
Action is low with no buzz and the frets have...

Up for sale an early 70’s Ibanez Jazz Bass (also known as model 2365b)
This bass sounds huge, has a very comfortable neck, and while being on the heavier side it balances better than any other bass I own.
It was most like built between 71 and 75 and is identical in all ways (except for the...

So I have a 1977 Ibanez Jazz Bass, but it doesnmt have a pickguard. I assumed it would be similar enough to a same era Fender that a 70s replacement pickguard would slot right in, but I was wrong. Anybody know if I can find an Ibanez one, or what model would fit?
Weight: 9lbs 4oz
Going through tough times posting this one up…
Fairly recent purchase of this bass. Everything is in functioning order, truss rod turns, neck is straight etc. I was told the bridge on this bass is not original, the current bridge is a Kahler brass bridge.

HEERBY LES PAUL STANDARD, LG-49 (?), LATE 70'S or EARLY 80's

Scored this from GC online and am ecstatic of how this bass looks!!!
I tried the best I could with these photos to capture the vintage look of this instrument from 1978. It feels and looks old af!!!! It’s honestly one of those instruments that you just have to see in person to appreciate its...
Howdy! I picked up this bass right when TB went up in flames, but I was curious if anyone would be able to help identify what year my Ibanez clone is from? I only had images online for reference, so my guess is that it's an Ibanez 2388 from 1975 (based on the pickup style) and the plating...

Dear all,
I got this bass guitar in very bad condition with non original varnish and no frets. So i got it together with both new. My questionn is if somebody can help me with recognazing the manufacturer? It looks like lawsuit basses MIJ and it has years to it, but I cant find a lawsuit with 6...
Original or reproduction would be great.
I have a 76 Ibanez 2388B bass (the lawsuit version of a Rick 4001) that is missing the truss rod cover. Not interested in trying to pass it off for a real Rick, hence the reason I am looking for an original or reproduction truss rod cover.
What you see here is not a modern, Asian-built counterfeit Rickenbacker copy--this is from the golden age of lawsuit instruments. Built sometime in the 70s, this bass was likely produced by the same factory that was making instruments for Ibanez, Greco, Tokai, Aria, and others.
