Does anybody here read Japanese?

No, it's not a trick question. I'm getting the pickups rewound on my mid-70's Ibanez Explorer copy. When I pulled them out, I found some cool and unexpected characters (I assume Japanese since the bass was made there...) painted into the cavities. I would love to know what these say. Anybody?

Google has an app. You just point your iPhone camera at the foreign language characters, and it will show the translation. Sorry, I can't remember the name of it.

Edit: I think it is Translate Photo.

Tried it and getting nothing.

I did find a translator app called Yomiwa (for iOS.) It's not working great, perhaps because of the photo quality. The first character might be "Pure". I will keep at it and let you guys know.

Awesome. Wonder why they'd put that there.

2nd photo is upside down. First 2 characters means Production. Second 2 mean Technique. Not sure why it's stamped that but could be during the law suit era with Gibson.
