Does anyone else hate this forum?

I've bought 4 MIA basses in the last 2 months thinking I was cutting back, WRONG! At some point in your life you just give in and get what you have always wanted. Kids are grown, it's my time and now I do what I want to do.

Go for it.
I completely agree with Rich. But fair warning to the youngun's here. Only if you can afford it. And afford DOES NOT mean CREDIT! I've been there, done that, and paid enough interest to have a custom Alembic. I'm debt free now but TB can cause extra GAS. Read with caution. I only scold because I care.

It's too bad that so many think that the more gear you have the better player you become.
I was one in the past. My skill lever only increases with more practice not more gear.
But if buying is your thing good for you. It's not wrong just different then the way I choose to play bass.
I have the gear I love and do not chase things anymore .
Thanks

Talkbass is like anything else in life.
Theres good and bad.
Sometimes its an overcast cold day as you regret anything you have bought because theres something else that looks better.
Sometimes its a warm sunny day with a soft breeze as you learn something new and apply it to make your life as a bassist better.

I don't. After some experience you just know what threads to avoid. I believer there should be sections based on level of playing and experience.

I quite like it. I get some info here but not more than elsewhere.
Gas is also not a problem at all.
I know what I need and that doesn't change with the forums I read. One just gets information on specific pieces which can help the decision process.
At the end however it is always a try before buy for me.
